Week of 10/24

 This week I learned how to explain and analyze themes in movies without summarizing the movie. Also, I learned that to analyze a theme without summarizing the film I need to narrow down my theme that is supported by specific events in the film. Although I'm still a little confused on how to narrow down the theme. I try to avoid the bigger picture, but somehow some way I always seem to pretty much tell the story instead of focusing on the specific events. Hopefully in the future I will improve on these skills and be able to focus on specific events without summarizing the film.
